What's the difference between full-grain and top-grain leather?
Full-grain is the entire hide, untouched. Top-grain has had the surface sanded down to hide imperfections — which also removes the toughest part of the leather. We use full-grain because it's stronger, develops better patina, and lasts significantly longer under real use.
